i'm gonna do prog, and ninja is mapping
but i will do deathmatch and maps for online
this might be too much for me but i'm tryin it
i'm gonna try and create a wad(map wad for doom) to bsp or map converter
but i might be in way over my head with that one

Yeah probably. I suggest if you make the coop and dm do it based off of Skulltags multiplayer. Heres their link

Youll need a copy of any doom or heretic/hexen (im not sure about Strife) to play it, and they cant be the Steam versions
Also if anyone finds a Doom map editor thatll run on 32 bit Vista, send it my way. Itll be a lot easier to use that than try to run around in the game copying it

is doom builder a 16 bit app? I wouldn't be able to run it on my comp if it is, since I use 64 bit xp, which can run any 16 bit apps.

Im not sure, but it does run on mine, and theres probably more chance of it working on your than mine, after all my computer runs on Vista. If not you can always check the forums

If you are running vista you will need this one thing, other wise it wont run right

i konw how to get to skulltags website
i've played it before
i've never had anyproblem using skull and doombuilder in xp
it's probably your 64 bit
cartman you know any c++ or java, cuase if you do
you can help
if you know java you can do a bit in c++ and c cause
java is 80% c and c++
i downloaded this integrated debuggin env or ide for c++ called eclipse
and i use "ready to program" for java
there is an eclipse version for java though and "ready" is special
it has some specail stuff that other java ide's don't have

I haven't actually tried running doombuilder, by the looks of it though looking at the site it's a 32 bit app which would run on my comp.

I don't really know c++. I know a little bit of php but that programing language is different then c++. how much programming do you know, impcnrd? It would be best to bring someone into the mod that is good at coding. Since if it's coded on by more novice level programmers it will take longer to code the mod and it would be a little more buggy then one done by more experienced coders.

but i wanna try and copy some stuff from the original doom source code, or atleast try,
i can always ask my teacher to help if i need it

We should also have modelers(?). We could use the ones from Classic, but all they are is just recolored, except the Alien Controllers, at least those are remolded.
