THIS WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE DOORS!!!!!!!!!!!!
first create your door
easy
now
use the "ORIGEN" texture
click browse and just type ori, you'll find it
it looks like a small green face
this is a special texture, equivalent to AAA_TRIGGER
but instead of saying trigger something
it says axis
your doo should look something like this
Image
the origen texture is like a door hinge
[EDIT] to make the door spin up and down. in the flags tag of the options, there should be a flag "y-axis". check that off and it sould work. note if it doesn't check off "x-axis. i don't have hammer in front of me to check exactly what the flags are. there its should be like what i just said[/EDIT]
now
once you have created the door at it looks somewhat like the image
right click on it and make it "func_door_rotating"
and theny modify the properties as you wish

the origon brush is on the wrong side of the door in that pic. with it the way you have it, the door will rotate on the side were the lock is.

Ah cool thanks.

I was actually working my first map (thanks Cartman for that guide x_x) yesterday and the only door I could get was a sliding one :P

Yes this works if you GROUP THEM TOGETHER, what I learned when i tried to make a "The Specialists" Role-Play map for my friend's TSRP server. Apparently for me, they open fast and close slowly(due to set speed). Not sure WHY, but I'm going to eventually figure it out later.

I'm sorry, but that would be as funny as hell to see.

I also can give some hint to people that want to use sliding doors.
Depending on which way you put the map, Y makes the door go up or down. In my CS Nightcrawler map, setting a bottom door to 90 and the top to -90, made them go the right way... because i think my map was upside down.. or not.
Remember how to graph? Thats what Y and X are, i just dont know Z, its probably for diagonal purposes, as what ever i remember from Ent Mod.
