Post subject:  How to use the env_beam

This tut will obviously teach you how to make the env_beam entity working properly.

Lets get to the point, in your map spawn an entity called "env_beam" then name it, then go to "life" in the properties and this is how long the beam will last. But go up and go to the "Start Entity" and type in the name of the env_beam. Then go to "End entity" and type in info. Then exit out of the properties page and spawn an entity called "info_target" this can be used for a target. Type in the name of the "end Entity" for the info_target, and place it where you want it to go. Now go to the env_beam's flags tab and check mark "Start On" this (duh) makes it start on. Then once you did that, go to the "Beam Color" and check to see if its set to black, you cant use black. So changed its color.



That should work, if it doesn't post a reply or dl the rmf so you can check to see what I did.

You don't need an end target if you set random strike in the option flags.
