Hey guys, I'm back! =)
Long story short, I finally managed to get my steam account back from a rather untrustworthy friend. Well he's not really my friend anymore.
Anyway, you can ask me for the details later, I'm thinking of getting a new computer since all these computer manufacturers are putting up FREE WINDOWS 7 DEALS.
This is an Alienware M17, tell me what you think.

I wonder what SC will look like in 1920x1200, if it supports that high of a resolution.

It would be better to get a laptop with nvidia gfx, with ati you'll have to get the 7.8 drivers to play hl and really any other open gl game with good performance, the current ati drivers, all newer then ~7.8, have horrable performance in open gl games.

Can't I just use D3D to render SC? In any case, a (less-preferable) alternative...

Kinda retarded, this thing is actually more expensive than the alienware. I could even save some money on the alienware if they offered vista business, but it was either home basic, home premium, or ultimate. wtf?
