umm it seems as though every time i try to connect to the server today it will time out when connecting. please say if this is a bug or if the server is down or something. it was lagging earlier today as well if that helps anything. but now it just wont connect! so strange....

It crashed in a weired way, the server went into an infinate loop crash earlier... Did you do anything before it got laggy? Having some issues today...... Getting a lot of block lag, for every 5 or 6 blocks I'll get two that reappear after a few seconds. This seemed to get worse the longer I played this morning. I attempted to warp home and got stuck in between worlds just kinda floating in the sky and logged out. Now the server is tossing up java errors when attempting to log in. Sorry I made the server fart! ============== server is back up, no block lag but...... All the maps are now SMP! I amost got my butt handed to me expecting no monsters and bam, zombies and creepers!

The server ran out of memory, there's still some memory leak problems in bukkit it seems, it can run out of memory if it's ran for several days without restarting the server. For some reason the config file that stops the hostile mob spawns for the main world got cleared out when the server restarted and that is the reason why the monsters where spawning for the main world.

looks like i crapped out the server again. Was exploring far out in the main world and it started having some issues loading chunks, after disconnecting I'm getting nothing but time outs. It did it for a minute then went ok for maybe another 20 but it's been steady time outs for an hour or so now. Sorry !

There's memory leaks in chunk gen, it'll crash relatively quickly if you gen new parts of the world, and even faster if you try to use the extra speed from the fly mod, I have been able to crash the server in as little as 30 minutes in the past teleporting around new areas. I have to restart the server manually when it crashes.
