A strange glitch has happened to my Valve Hammer editor. Originally, it worked fine and dandy. But one day, it just wouldn't work. It seems that when I start it, it loads for a couple of seconds then it just stops. It does actually show it there in the task manager for a few seconds, but it disappears. No loading screen or anything.
I have tried many sites for valve hammer editor and it seems that none of them work.
Any solutions?

What OS are you using? Win7 and Vista have a shitty little "security" program in place that makes any potential tread go *poof* right after it loads. It's called DEP, Data Execution Prevention.
You can do this: Start>Control panel>System And Security>(under system group) View amount of RAM and processor speed>(on the little panel to the left, with a little shield next to it)Advanced System Settings >(little window should pop up)>(tabs on the top)click on advanced>(under performance group) click on "Settings...">(another little window should pop up)> (tabs on the top again) click on Data Execution Prevention>Click on the "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select">look for the hammer .exe and add it to the list>applyapplyapplyapplyapplyokokokokok>???>profit.
/me is out of breath now.
